Motion Encyclical is a static visual prototype titled Magnifica Humanitas. Its opening separates figures from an artwork into moving layers; scrolling brings the hands together and releases the reader into subsequent chapters. Later sections use artwork cards and source notes.
What the capture preserves
The image above is an original saved capture of the opening, not a new reconstruction. The source contains several HTML iterations, artwork masks, optimized assets and a local Python masking environment. Those materials describe an interaction experiment; they do not establish a production launch, an official publication or an endorsed interpretation of the underlying text.
The opening credits Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam, with its Wikimedia Commons source record. The prototype distinguishes public-domain marks from collection-specific open-access terms in its artwork notes.
Archive status
Storage update · 10 October 2026. The inactive prototype’s source, assets, masking-environment files and unborn Git state are preserved in a private archive with checksums and tested restoration of those files. There was no commit or upstream repository to recover this work from. The environment’s regular files and interpreter-link metadata were archived because a complete installation lockfile was not established; its absolute interpreter symlinks remain locally. The separately installed Python interpreter was not bundled, and running the restored masking tools on another machine has not been tested. Documentation, configuration and saved captures remain as evidence; this page is a historical record, not a running replacement app.
