Strawmap Atlas is an educational atlas of the L1 Strawmap, a draft long-term roadmap for Ethereum’s base layer credited to Ethereum Foundation architecture and protocol teams. The atlas turns material from the public Strawmap page into one source-backed dataset and lets a reader move through it in several ways.

The views

The same dataset feeds an atlas view, a knowledge graph, a filterable tracker with CSV export, a timeline, a paper-style reading mode, audience-specific explanations, a source browser, a changelog, and a permanent page for each roadmap item. Each view answers a different question: what is planned, what depends on what, where a claim came from, and who needs the explanation.

Why a map

A roadmap is easy to flatten into a list of names and dates. That is tidy, but it hides the relationships between goals, dependencies, sources, and later changes. The atlas keeps those relationships close enough to inspect. The graph helps with orientation, the timeline with sequence, and the source pages support individual claims; no single view has to carry the whole explanation.

Limits

Every item carries its sources. Status (how mature an item is on the roadmap) and confidence (how strongly the dataset can assert it) are shown separately, and speculative or placeholder items are marked. The dataset is partial: it draws on the public Strawmap page and its metadata rather than a full parse of the linked roadmap drawing. Roadmap items are sourced signals, not commitments or a statement of Ethereum’s current plans.
